Gurbandi almonds, also known as chhoti giri, are cultivated primarily in Afghanistan. They make up for their small size in density: they contain more oil than their Californian counterparts, which means more omega fatty acids and antioxidants, and makes them well suited to both skin and hair.

Cold pressing extracts the oil without heat or chemicals. We keep the temperature under 50°C throughout, which preserves the nutrients and the aroma both.

Our almond oil is free of any additive or fragrance. It has its own natural nutty aroma, and it smells like almonds in every whiff. Deeply nourishing but non-sticky, it works as a body oil, a face moisturiser, a pre-wash hair oil, a post-wash scalp serum, a makeup remover — and it is gentle enough for baby massage.

Your questions, answered

What can I actually use this for?

Face moisturiser, body oil, hair oil, scalp serum, makeup remover and baby massage. It is one ingredient, so there is nothing in it that restricts it to one use.

Is it safe for baby massage?

It is a single cold-pressed nut oil with no additives, which is what makes it suitable. Patch test first, and check with your paediatrician if your baby has any known sensitivities.

Do I need to patch test?

Yes, and it takes a day. Apply a small amount to your inner forearm and leave it for 24 hours before using it on your face. Do this with any new product, not just ours.

How long does it keep?

The best-before period is printed on every label, counted from the date of manufacture. Store somewhere cool and dry, away from direct sunlight.
